INARUWA: One person died and another was injured when a truck collided with a motorcycle at a bridge over the Mariya stream in Sunsari, on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Sharma of Babiya-7, informed the Sunsari District Police Office.

Sharma was riding pillion on the motorcycle (Ko 18 Pa 7404) travelling to Harinagara when it was hit by the Inaruwa-bound truck (Na 5 Kha 2568).

The motorcyclist Dhaneshwor Sharma was injured in the incident, police added.

Police have impounded the vehicle.
