KALIKOT: A temporary policeman was killed after a clash ensued between temporary police and the police force deployed in Kalikot District.

Bibek Aidee, a resident of Sani Triveni village municipality, succumbed to injuries sustained in a clash between Temporary policemen and the police.

The temporary police were protesting against the administration in front of the District Police Office.

Talking to THT online, Badrinath Gaire, Chief District Officer at Kalikot, said that the administration did not order the police to open fire.

According to Gaire, there were no prior grievances and the temporary policemen suddenly started to pelt stones at the Police on duty after which a few shots were fired in the air.

"The cause of death will be ascertained after post-mortem reports are out," said Gaire.
