DHADING:  A person died on the spot and three others sustained injuries in a mini truck accident that took place in Thakre Rural Municipality-1 of Dhading district on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as driver Dal Bahadur Tamang (30) of Thakre Rural Municipality-1 in the district and injured as passengers Tika Ram Tamang, Rajesh Tamang, and Kamal Tamang.

The incident occurred when the mini truck (Ba 1 Kha 9842) carrying goods, en-route to Thakre via rural roads from Simle along the Prithvi Highway, fell some 80 metres below the road in Gairigaun of the rural municipality at around 11:30 pm yesterday, informed the District Police Office, Dhading.

The injured were rushed to the Kathmandu-based National Trauma Centre for treatment. The injured are in critical conditions, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
