RASUWA, NOVEMBER 24

A four-year-old girl was killed while two other sustained critical injuries after a jeep drove through the pedestrians in a road accident along the Pasang Lhamu Highway in Rasuwa Tuesday evening.

Naina Ghale of Thade, Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-6, was killed, while Urja Ghale (30) and Karan Ghale (30) were injured (8).

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Devendra Pandey, the incident occurred when the jeep (Na 1 Ja 6176), en route to Dhunche from Kathmandu, plowed through three pedestrians at Thade, killing one on the spot and injuring two others.

Meanwhile, two other critically injured people are being treated at Kathmandu-based Green City Hospital.

The vehicle fell some 50 meters down from the road after hitting the pedestrians.

There were four passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident, according to reports, and they are being treated at Nuwakot's Trishuli Hospital.
