RAUTAHAT, NOVEMBER 23
A person died on the spot while two others sustained injuries after two motorcycles collided with eachother in Chandrapur Municipality of Rautahat district, Monday midnight.
The deceased has been identified as Rama Shankar Sah (25) of Chandarpur-9, informed Area Police Office, Chandrapur.
According to police, the incident occurred when two motorcycles (Na 56 Pa 6112) and (Na 43 Pa 6243) collided head-on at Baijanathpur Chok along the Gaur-Chandrapur road section at 12:50 am today, killing one and critically injuring two.
The motorcyclists were speeding when the collision occurred, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lilaraj Lamichhane, at the Chandrapur APO.
Meanwhile, another motorcycle rider Manoj Chaudhary of Gujara-9 and pillion rider Kantidevi Chaudhary of Brindaban-7 were critically injured and were taken to Birgunj for treatment, added DSP Lamichhane.
In the meantime, both vehicles have been impounded by police for further investigation.
