LAHAN: A man was injured when a house caught a fire at Inarwa VDC-3 of Siraha district on Saturday.

Saburi Mandal (30), son of house owner Jadu Mandal, sustained injury in course of dousing the fire. He is receiving treatment at a local clinic, added police.

Property worth around Rs 400,000 including two houses and a cowshed were completely destroyed by the fire. The fire had started from Mandal’s cowshed, informed the Siraha District Police Office.

The fire destroyed clothes, utensils and food grains, among others.

A police team deployed from Thadi Police Post and locals brought the fire under control after one hour at around 3:00 am today.
