DAMAULI, NOVEMBER 1
A person died while other sustained critical injuries after a jeep and a motorcycle collided with each other in Byas Municipality-1 of Tanahu district on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Resham Gurung (18) and injured as pillion rider Roshan Gharti (18) -- both from Galbubesi of Byas-1, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yuvaraj Timilsena, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Tanahun.
The incident occurred when the jeep (Po 1 Dha 40) collied head-on with the motorcycle (Ga 21 Pa 4936) at Galbubesi Bhadgaun, injuring two.
Both the injured were rushed to Damauli Hospital where Resham succumbed to his injuries. Roshan, who was injured, was sent to Pokhara for further treatment, according to police.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been kept at Damauli Hospital for postmortem while the jeep driver has been detained for investigation, added DSP Timilsina.
