LAHAN: A person was killed in a tractor accident at Mirchaiya Municipality-3, along the Dumarinahar road in Siraha district on Saturday.

According to Mirchaiya-based Area Police Office, identification of the deceased, who appeared to be a teenager, is yet to be established.

The incident took place when the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 4736) overturned on the road in Mirchaiya Municipality today, pressing the teenager under the tractor against the road, said police.

The body has been kept at Lahan-based Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital for postmortem.

Meanwhile, police are looking for the tractor driver who fled the scene after the incident.
