BIRENDRANAGAR: A person died while two others were injured when a passenger bus plunged into the Bheri river following near Salli Bazaar of Salyan district this morning.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 5944) was heading towards Salli Bazaar from Dharapani when the incident took place at around 6:00 in the morning, police said.

The deceased has been identified as the bus owner Ram Bahadur Khadka. He died during medical treatment in Kohalpur of Banke.

The bus driver Milan Rawat and his assistant Umesh Jung Shah were injured. The bus reportedly suffered a brake failure and fell 200 metres down the road into the River, police said.
