KATHMANDU: One person was killed and several others were injured after a passenger bus collided with a truck at Chormara of Nawalparasi district along the East-West Highway on Friday morning.

Five of the injured are critical, according to police.

The bus was heading to Pyuthan from Kathmandu when it collided with the  truck coming from the opposite direction, police said.

The injured were sent to Bharatpur Hospital of neighbouring Chitwan district for treatment.
