HETAUDA: A man was killed after being attacked by an unidentified group with an iron rod in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City of Makawanpur district on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Rana Magar (45) of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-12.

It has been reported that the group attacked Magar at the suspension bridge that links Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11 with ward no. 12.

The attackers fled the scene after the incident, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur. Police have arrested five persons suspecting their involvement in the incident.

An investigation into the case is underway while the search is on for the culprits, said police.
