KHOTANG: A man died after he was attacked with a lathi in Khotang district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Lak Kumar Rai (45) of Rakha Bangdel-8.

According to the District Police Office, Khotang, Dipesh Rai (20) of  Rakha Bangdel-7 had attacked Lak Kumar after a dispute ensued between them while consuming alochol at the former's house at around 8 pm yesterday.

Lak Kumar, who sustained deep on his head, was taken to his home in unconscious state. He breathed his last at around 3 am today.

Following the incident, a police team dispatched from the Area Police Office, Aiselukharka reached the incident site and nabbed Dipesh, Inspector Kash Nath Regmi of the District Police Office, Khotang informed.

Preparations are underway to taken the body of deceased to the District Hospital for postmortem.
