BAGLUNG: A person died on the spot in a road accident at Hatiya VDC in Baglung district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Chitra Bahadur Kandel of Harichaur-8 in the district.

The accident took place when a rear wheel a bus (Na 4 Kha 8434) coming from Kathmandu crushed Kandel, according to police. Kandel was travelling on the roof of the same bus when he fell off on the road.

Deceased Kandel is known to have consumed alcohol while he was boarding the bus.

Police have taken bus driver Bishnu Pun under their control for the investigation, police said.
