PHIDIM: A man died on the spot when a truck met with an accident at Bharpa of Panchthar on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as driver Mohan Kumar Rai of Phidim-3.

The truck (Me 1 Kha 1849) laden with goods was en route to Taplejung from Birtamode when the accident occurred at around 5 am this morning, informed DSP Nakul Pokharel of the District Police Office, Panchthar.

A team of police was dispatched after locals informed the DPO about the incident.
