KATHMANDU: A person died and three others sustained injuries when a tractor they were aboard skidded and fell about 100 metres down the road in Tulsipur Municipality of Dang district, on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Lalit Gharti (30) of Tulsipur-10 in the district while the injured are Tek Bahadur Giri (48), Krishna Pariyar (16) and Tula Singh Gharti (63).

The incident occurred when the tractor (Lu 2 Ta 7720) heading towards Tulsipur from Balle skidded off the road in Dharmashala-7 at around 6 pm yesterday.

Gharti breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Tulsipur-based Rapti Zonal Hospital.

Among the injured, Giri and Pariyar are said to be critical.

Meanwhile, the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, has detained the tractor driver for further investigation, informed police.
