Out of the total number of candidates, who have filed their nominations for member of House of Representatives and Provincial assembly in the polls slated for November 20, only six per cent are women in Rautahat.
In total, 207 candidates have registered their candidacies for the House of Representatives and PA. Of them, the number of female candidates stands at 12.
Home to four constituencies, 17 candidates have filed their nominations for the House of Representatives from Constituency-1. Of them, fifteen are males while two are females. Under Constituency-1 of Province Assembly B, 31 candidates have registered their candidacy. Of them, only one is female.
Similarly, thirteen individuals have filed their nominations from Rautahat Constituency-2. Of them, the number of female candidate is zero. Out of the thirteen candidates from Constituency-2 A, only one is female. Female candidacy for the House of Representatives from Constituency-3 is also nil.
Only nine males have filed their nominations for member of Provincial Assembly from Constituency-3 A. Out of eighteen candidates who have registered their nominations for the HoR from Constituency-4, only two candidates are female. One candidate each is female from both A and B for Province Assembly from Constituency-4 .
