Oppn dissatisfied with govt’s performance in Province 7
Dhangadi, May 18
Opposition lawmakers in Province 7 have expressed their dissatisfaction with the performance of the provincial government.
Speaking at the Province Assembly meeting today, Nepali Congress lawmaker Bharat Bahadur Khadka accused the government of failing to show maturity in its actions.
“The provincial government has failed to understand the laws and the system of governance and its actions clearly reflect its immaturity. So the government should be serious in this regard,” Khadka said, asking the government to provide compensation to farmers whose crops were damaged by storms.
Another Nepali Congress PA member Govindraj Bohora too expressed his dissatisfaction and accused the government of failing to act as per people’s aspirations. “What the government has done even when it has the most cooperative opposition like our party is clearly not up to the mark,” he said.
Yet another NC provincial assembly member Dilliraj Panta accused the government of not taking the opposition’s suggestions in decision making, while others also expressed their grievances for not being consulted while preparing budget of the province.
