Opt for peaceful means: Pahadi
Phidim, March 24
Human Rights and Peace Nepal Founder Chairperson Krishna Pahadi today said that economic, cultural and political transformation of the country was possible through non-violent protests as well.
Addressing a national campaign hosted by the society in Phidim of Panchthar today, Pahadi claimed that unity, mutual understanding and self-respect would take the country towards peace, non-violence and national sovereignty.
He said, “Don’t opt for bandhs and blockade demanding the fulfilment of your agendas. Rather, please think of others’ rights while calling such movements,” he urged everyone.
Pahadi underscored people’s participation for effective implementation of the new constitution 2015.
He also sought everyone’s constructive support to deal with the thorny issues of boundary demarcation of the proposed provinces. He also said that the issues of disgruntled communities could be settled through constitution amendment.
“All the political movements since 1950 have been violent. Hence, this trend requires to be changed.
All theupcoming agitations should be for development, construction and prosperity,”he reiterated.
