Over 3 lakh voters in Kaski for CA polls

The number of voters expected to cast votes in the Constituent Assembly polls stood at 316,525 in Kaski district.

Compared to the figure of 270,381 last year, 57,953 voters were added this year that saw the number rise by 17 per cent, district election official Ghanashyam Bhandari said. Of three constituencies in the district, Constituency No 2, including Pokhara sub-metropolis, has the highest number of voters — 1,06,256. The Constituency No 3 has the lowest number of voters — 74,518; Constituency No 1 has 88,499 voters. Though the Constituency Delimitation Commission recommended dividing the district in four constituencies, it is yet to be implemented.
