A team of helping hands offered support to flood-affected families in Kavre district.
"A relief program is accomplished on Dec 27, 2024 distributing mainly bedding items keeping in view prevailing winter season to the flood-affected families at Ward -12, Bhumidanda, Panauti," Gen Daman B Ghale, Chairperson of St John Association, Nepal, said in a statement.
More than 400 families who were badly affected by the monsoon floods received relief materials, Ghale, who is also the President-elect of Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers, said.
"This is the second relief package at this scale distributed to the flood victims in Nepal funded by St John Ambulance of Malaysia which have been coordinated and organized in such a manner by St John Association Nepal, Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers and Ward-12 Bhumidanda, Panauti," the statement said.
Relief materials were distributed to the families of flood victims at Tikathali in Lalitpur last month. In Kavre, the team reached the doorsteps of the flood victims along with the officials of local government, Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers and St John Association, Nepal among others.
Ghale also thanked St John Ambulance, Malaysia for such a generous support in a noble cause as a part of the service to humanity.
