Over Rs 280 million has been collected in the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund (PMDRF) to support the earthquake survivors in Karnali Province.
A 6.4-magnitude earthquake had struck Jajarkot and its surrounding districts on November 3, 2023, resulting in numerous casualties and fatalities.
"According to the latest information released by the Fund, it has gathered over Rs 280 million from various social organizations and individuals who pledged their support for post-quake rescue, search and rehabilitation, as well as relief distribution operations for the quake survivors.
The government had encouraged individuals and agencies to contribute to the cause through a one-door system. Agencies and individuals can deposit relief in the Fund through account numbers in nine commercial banks.
