KHOTANG: A woman was killed after being hit by an ox in Diktel, the Khotang district headquarters, on Tuesday.

The ox, which was set to plough her land, hit the 50-year-old Chandra Kumari Khatri with its horns, in Diktel Municipality-1 yesterday.

Khatri had fallen unconscious in the incident and was rushed to the Khotang District Hospital, where she breathed her last during treatment.

Police said the body has been handed over to the victim's family after postmortem.
