Oxygen plant to be set up in Dhankuta
Dhankuta, March 17
The Japanese government has provided financial assistance to set up an oxygen production and distribution facility in Dhankuta District Hospital.
The Japanese government provided Rs 10 million through Grassroots Human Security Project to the district hospital for installation of the oxygen plant.
Director at the hospital Arun Sharma said the assistance was made possible through the initiatives taken by former minister and Surya Bahadur Thapa Foundation’s Chair Sunil Bahadur Thapa.
Japan’s ambassador to Nepal Masamichi Saigo and Medical Superintendent Dr Abhitab Thakur of Dhankuta District Hospital had signed the grant contract in the presence of former minister Thapa at the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu.
Japanese ambassador Saigo also said that his government would continue to help the hospital in future.
