BHAKTAPUR: Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit on Saturday accused high-ranking government officials holding ‘Green Card’ and ‘Permanent Residency (PR)’ of foreign countries of not caring about Nepal. Addressing the 10th Annual General Assembly of Baba Savings and Cooperatives here, Minister Pandit said some former prime ministers, chief justices, chief secretaries and politicians were listed as ‘fugitives’ for choosing foreign shores over their home country. He further said, “I have become an eye-sore for some civil servants who have obtained PR and Green Cards of the foreign countries, but I will sweep away the dirt from the country.” Pandit remarked that such persons also do not deserve to be appointed to esteemed government positions. He further dubbed such officials as the ‘country’s foes’.
