Panel formed to review price

Kathmandu, November 10:

A committee comprising members of the Airlines Operators Association Nepal, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation was formed today to determine the appropriate aviation fuel surcharge hike on air tickets, said a source at Tourism Ministry.

The committee is headed by Keshav Khanal, deputy director general of the CAAN. It is expected to present a report on surcharge hike to the Tourism Ministry authorities within a week.

The issue of increasing surcharge cropped up soon after Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) hiked the aviation fuel Rs 68 per litre.
