‘Parties against unity’
PYUTHAN: General Administration Minister Rekha Sharma on Thursday said the activities of the Madhes-based parties were against national unity.
Speaking at a programme in Thulabesi, Sharma stressed the need to keep national unity intact in the present context.
“Whatever demands the Madhes-based parties have put forth are against national unity, which is unfortunate,” she said, suggesting that the agitating parties should be ready to find a solution to their problems in an amicable way.
She also called on the government and major parties to be flexible in addressing the demands of Madhesi parties but clarified that nothing can and should be done that would compromise national unity and sovereignty.
