Party unhappy with government performance, says Dahal
Biratnagar, September 22
Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said that his party was not happy with the performance of the incumbent government, which enjoys a two-thirds majority.
Dahal said the party leadership was worried that development and prosperity were not taking place as expected. “Economic growth rate of the country is rising and we do not have to be disappointed at present. But, the party leadership is fretting over the fact that work has not been done as projected,” Dahal added.
Dahal said that the government would expedite development work in the days to come. “Friendly relations with foreign countries, the petroleum pipeline and economic growth rate are major achievements of the incumbent government,” Dahal said.
He added they were reviewing performance of both the party and the government and they would soon start work from a new perspective. Dahal requested not to question him about the Cabinet reshuffle.
Dahal said that some miscreants and their activities would not pose a challenge to the current political system. “We are taking miscreants and their activities seriously. But, they do not pose a threat to the political system,” he added. He stressed the need to defeat such forces and their activities with united effort.
