POKHARA: A youth who hopped a passenger bus to get off came under the rear wheels and got killed in Pokhara on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Suman Gurung of Byas-11, Tanahun district, according to Spokesperson at the Kaski District Police Office, DSP Gajusiddhi Bajracharya.

Gurung tried to get off from the bus when it was still in motion, DSP Bajracharya said.

The bus driver has been detained and the bus impounded for investigation.

Gurung's body has been to the Western Regional Hospital for postmortem.
