KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died after being hit by an India-registered truck in Mechinagar-10 of Jhapa district on Saturday.

The deceased is said to in his mid-30s whereas other details about him are yet to be identified.

He breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Mechi Zonal Hospital in Bhadrapur of the district.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm yesterday.

The Area Police Office, Kakarbhitta, has impounded the four-wheeler and arrested its driver for further investigation.
