KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died after being hit by a truck in Murgiya Chok, Sainamaina-4 of Rupandehi district on Monday.

The identity of the deceased, who appears to be in his late 20s, is yet to be ascertained.

He was hit by the truck (Na 4 Kha 7750), which was heading towards west, yesterday evening.

The body has been sent to the Lumbini Zonal Hospital for postmortem, informed the District Police Office.

Ranyaura Area Police Office has impounded the four-wheeler and arrested its driver for further investigation.
