People have lost hope: Thapa
Pokhara, September 14
Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairperson Kamal Thapa today argued that people didn’t have any hope of getting justice from the courts and security and relief from the government.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Media Centre Kaski today, Thapa said people had lost hope of getting justice from the court and security and relief from the government because of several past incidents of court verdicts and growing criminal activities, including and smuggling in recent years.
“Various programmes will be held to pile pressure on he government for fair verdict and necessary justice. When the constitutional organs of the state are influenced by politics, people do not get justice, security and relief,” said Thapa.
Thapa accused the senior leaders of major parties of imposing a political syndicate in all sectors and engaging in corruption. “Though the media has been making corrupt persons public almost every day, the government has been indifferent to taking action against them. Instead, state power is safeguarding them. So, how can we curb corruption in the country?” questioned Thapa.
Thapa argued that his party was focusing now on the upcoming provincial and parliamentary elections. “This is the need of the hour as well. The government and the Election Commission must discharge their duties effectively to conduct elections in a fair, free and fearless atmosphere,” said Thapa.
He reiterated that his party would revive the agenda of Hindu State, conducting a Mechi-Mahakali national campaign between Dashain and Tihar.
