PHIDIM: Different women’s groups on Friday forced Phidim bazaar to shut down protesting the death of a woman.

Women’s groups accused senior AHW Satya Narayan Thakur of Phidim Hospital and owner of Anirudra Medical Hall Bijay Pandey of using illegal means for abortion.

Pabitra Chauhan of Terathum-8 died of excessive bleeding on Wednesday. Chauhan’s kin had filed an appeal against the accused in the District Police Office and District Administration office demanding compensation on Thursday. Police have arrested the accused for further investigation.
