MORANG: A man died when a pick-up van hit a motorbike at Hasandaha-4 of Morang district along the Pathari-Hasandaha road section on Tuesday.

Pillion rider Yam Prasad Darji (35) died when the pick-up van (Ko 1 Cha 8908) hit the motorbike (Ko 3 Pa 4975) at around 9:30 pm yesterday.

Critically injured Darji breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala institute of Health Sciences in Dharan at 11.00 pm, Police Inspector Ramesh Basnet of the Area Police Office, Pathari said.

Bike rider Prabhu Chaudhary (18) of the same place was critically injured in the incident. He is being treated at local Pathari Hospital.

Police said that they have impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation.
