RAUTAHAT: Two picnickers died after they fell into the Bagmati River in Nunthar Mahadevsthan village of Rautahat district on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Santosh Pulami Magar (23) and Rakesh Shrestha (17) from Bardibas-10 of Mahottari district.

A group of youth had gone to the riverbank for a picnic on Thursday.

According to DSP Rajendra Pokhrel of the Rautahat District Police Office, further investigation into the case is underway.
