PLA fighter dies of dysentery
Tulsipur, August 13:
A Maoist combatant in Mangal Sen Memorial barracks at Udha died of gastroenteritis today.
Tirtha Lal Chaudhari of Pawannagar village development committee in Dang district breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Bheri zonal hospital.
He was brought to Nepalgunj after primary treatment at the camp, commander of People Liberation Army’s fifth division Sharad said. Chaudhari was also suffering from tuberculosis, a hospital source said.
Various diseases, including typhoid and malaria, have been spreading in barracks of People Liberation Army’s fifth division due to contaminated water, commander Sharad said.
According to him, over five People Liberation Army combatants were suffering from gastroenteritis and typhoid every day in the cantonment and satellite camp under the fifth division in Tila and Udha. He also said that their treatment has become difficult due to bad weather.
