Plots afoot against Congress: NC MP

Dhangadhi, January 30

Nepali Congress central member and lawmaker Bir Bahadur Balayar today charged that both pro and anti-statute amendment forces were hatching a conspiracy against the Nepali Congress.

Speaking at a programme organised in Attariya, Kailali, NC leader Balayar alleged that both the opposition party CPN-UML and Madhesi parties were plotting against the NC.

“UML Chair KP Oli, who signed in more than seven places for statute amendment is now scared of it,” Balayar charged.

Balayar also charged that the CPN-Maoist Centre did not want the election. “One party is trying to earn credit talking about bogus nationalism while the other party (CPN-MC) is worried about the dysfunctional organisation,” Balayar charged.

He charged that communists were dishonest and insincere in politics. “Communists who change their colour wherever they go are devoid of any doctrine,” Balayar accused.

Stating that the NC had brought shooters and former rebels into the peace process, Balayar held that his party wanted to resolve all sorts of conflicts and take the country on the path of development and prosperity.
