PM Dahal arrives in Chitwan with family to cast vote for daughter

CHITWAN: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal along with his wife and other family members have arrived in Chitwan on Saturday on the eve of local level elections.

Dahal's daughter is the mayor candidate from the CPN-Maoist Centre in Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Dahal will cast his vote at the election booth in Laxmi Secondary School at Lanku tomorrow morning and his wife Sita Dahal at Shivanagar Lower Secondary School booth.

Their son Prakash Dahal, who is also a Central Committee member of the CPN-Maoist and the PM's personal secretary, however, is not a voter in the district.

There are 313,002 voters in the district which has one metropolitan city, five municipalities and one rural municipality.

Dahal's Maoist party has forged an election alliance with Nepali Congress to support his daughter in the election.
