KATHMANDU, JANUARY 15

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said all should unite to fight COVID-19 in the country.

Receiving a memorandum submitted by main opposition CPN-UML on COVID control today, PM Deuba asked all to join hands to overcome the risks of coronavirus infection.

"All should unite, irrespective of political differences, for the control and prevention of coronavirus infection".

"It is collaboration and unity among us that can tame the spread of coronavirus," he said, adding that the government was effortful in making the general public aware of the new variant of coronavirus.

After he assumed government leadership, the number of people inoculated with the vaccine has increased.

PM Deuba claimed that the government was moving ahead to administer complete doses of vaccine to all the eligible population.

A delegation headed by CPN- UML vice-chair and parliamentary party deputy leader Subash Nembang had submitted a 22-point letter regarding control, prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
