PM Deuba assumes office

KATHMANDU: Newly elected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has assumed his office at the Singhadarbar in Kathmandu on Wednesday. PM Deuba has formed an seven member cabinet after being elected to the top executive post yesterday.

After taking the oath of office and secrecy from the President Bidya Devi Bhandari, PM Deuba endorsed a proposal to formulate the good conduct policy after assuming the office today.

Speaking to the media persons, PM Deuba pledged to hold the three tiers of elections by January 21. He also said that the constitution would be amended to create a existing harmony between the Terai and Hilly people.

PM further said that he would work for the benefit of  national interest and maintain a balanced relations between the two neighbouring countries India and China.

He also decided to form the Secretariat of the Coordination Council that would coordinate between and among various provinces.
