KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 24

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is visiting the disaster-stricken districts in eastern Nepal, today.

According to the PM's secretariat, Deuba will visit Sunsari, Morang, Ilam and Panchthar districts that were badly affected by the recent floods, landslides and inundation.

Prime Minister Deuba will take stock of affected areas in all four districts, meet the survivors and acquire information about the situation in the affected districts.

He will return to the capital in the evening after concluding preliminary assessment.

A team led by the PM, including Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale, Nepali Congress central members NP Saud, Ramesh Lekhak and Bir Bahadur Blair had visited flood-hit and landslide-affected districts in the far west on Thursday and Friday.
