Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed her gratitude to the Nepali Communist Party for its supportive role in ensuring the successful conduct of the election to the House of Representatives (HoR).

A party delegation comprising its coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, and leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Barsha Man Pun called on the Prime Minister at her official residence in Baluwatar today.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the recent House of Representatives elections and other contemporary political developments, according to the Prime Minister's advisor, Ram Bahadur Rawal.

The Prime Minister congratulated members of the delegation who were elected in the polls.

"You all took part in the election, contributed to creating a conducive environment, and helped chart a way forward for the nation through peaceful and democratic processes. I thank you all. Congratulations to the elected members of the House of Representatives, and I wish you a successful tenure," the Prime Minister said on the occasion.

During the meeting, NCP coordinator Dahal remarked, "There was a possibility that the nation could have been pushed into another crisis had the election not been held. The responsibility you fulfilled with such courage and dedication is highly significant and commendable." He added that the party had supported the election since its announcement.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was noted that completing the election within six months while leading the government amid challenging circumstances was a formidable task, made possible by the Prime Minister's leadership, credibility, and commitment.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had met with other political leaders and representatives, thanking them for their support in making the election a success.
