PM Oli and Bangladeshi Minister Kamal meet
KATHMANDU: Visiting Bangladeshi Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism AKM Sahajan Kamal has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.
In a meeting held at the PM's official residence, Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli said the accident of US Bangla aircraft that occurred on March 12 (Monday) was saddening and a probe commission was constituted for the investigation of the incident.
According to PM's personal secretary Chetan Adhikari, Prime Minister Oli expressed deep condolence and sympathy to the Prime Minister and the people of Bangladesh and the bereaved family over the demise of Bangaldesi nationals in the aircraft accident.
Minister Kamal had appreciated Nepal's prompt action in the relief and treatment of injured following the aircraft accident.
During the meeting, Minister Kamal informed that Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended thanks to Nepal's Prime Minster Oli for the initiative taken by the Nepal government in the rescue operations immediately after the accident.
