KATHMANDU, JULY 3
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of the world-renowned football club Real Madrid, in the Spanish capital, Madrid, today.
He was welcomed at the stadium by the Club's International Director, Pedro Martín de Miguel. During the visit, Prime Minister Oli, identifying himself as a fan of Real Madrid, expressed his delight at witnessing such a modern and state-of-the-art facility.
To mark the occasion, Director Miguel presented a Real Madrid jersey to Prime Minister Oli and encouraged Nepali students to enroll in the club's training programmes.
Prime Minister Oli is currently in Madrid after attending the Fourth United Nations International Conference on Financing for Development held in Seville, Spain. While in Madrid, he has participated in several official engagements.
Accompanying the Prime Minister were his Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav, Foreign Ministry Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Nepali Ambassador to Spain Shanil Nepal, and other dignitaries.
