PM stresses on petroleum storage facility, pipeline construction

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday directed the officials to do the needful for the storage of petroleum products, including petrol, diesel and LPG, enough for at least 90 days.

In a meeting with the officials of Ministry of Supplies, Ministry of Finance and Nepal Oil Corporation, Prime Minister Dahal said the government would provide required budget for the construction of storage facility, according to a statement issued by the PM's Secretariat.

Also, he told the officials to start the construction of petroleum pipeline to Amlekhganj or Chitwan (from the Indian side) and complete it as soon as possible, the statement said.
