PM to leave for Biratnagar today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is scheduled to leave for hometown, Biratnagar, on Sunday. This puts off any likelihood of PM Koirala convening an all-party meeting in two or three days. Sources said the PM has taken a break expecting a definite announcement from Maoist leadership on issues ranging from what Young Communist League (YCL) cadres are doing to when the Maoist leadership will defreeze the land and property of hundreds of people. Koirala has singled out defreezing the land as the main precondition for the all-party talks.
