Pokhara finds a sister in Linjhi:Official seal on sibling ties tomorrow
Pokhara, October 19:
A six-member delegation from Linjhi city of Chinese autonomous region Tibet has arrived here today for establishing “sister relationship” between the two cities.
Vice-commissioner of the administrative office of the city, Doji Sairen, led the team to sign up the “sister-city relationship” with the Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City on Tuesday. Staffers and board members of the local body received the team at the Pokhara airport.
Uttam Prasad Nagila, executive officer of the Pokhara sub-metropolitan office, said the delegation arrived to give formality to the understanding already signed to establish the “sister relationship” between the cities.
Nagila said that the “sister relationship” will be marked with cooperation between the two cities in the economic, tourism, cultural, educational and other fields.
Minister for Local Development Ram Chandra Jha and the Chinese embassy officials would also participate in the official ceremony on Tuesday.
