Pokhara man drowns in local stream

POKHARA: A 45-year-old man drowned while swimming in local Phusrekhola of Dobilla, Pokhara-17 on Friday.

According to Kaski District Police Office spokesperson Gaju Siddhi Bajracharya, Buddhi Bahadur Nepali, a permanent resident of Pragatitol, was rescued and taken to the Gandaki Medical College in the cityu. He, however, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital this afternoon.

Meanwhile, a man has sustained injuries after a truck (Ga 1 Kha 2971) hit his motorbike (Ga 11 Pa 2852) at Chauthe in Pokhara-17 on Friday afternoon.

Injured Buddhi Bahadur Khatri, a permanent resident of Lekhanath-7, Kaski, has been taken to Manipal Teaching Hospital in the Lake City for treatment.

Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the truck driver.

Police are looking into the case.
