BIRATNAGAR: Police arrested three cadres of Jaya Krishna Goit's group on Sunday for their involvement in IED explosion  at Biratnagar Metropolis Office three weeks ago.

According to Morang Police, the arrested persons are cadres of the underground group, Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha which was inactive since long until the recent bombing incident.

The arrestees are Manoj Kumar Singh (53) of Jahada Rural Municipality in Morang, Abhimanu Giri (20) of Laxmipurpatar Rural Municipality and Ramrijhan Yadav (24) of Sukhipur Municipality in Siraha.

Police arrested Singh from Morang and Yadav and Giri from Siraha with help from Province 2 Police.

Few days after the incident, group leader Jaya Krishna Goit had claimed responsibility for the explosion. However, authorities had downplayed Goit's citing lack of evidence.

According to Superintendent Manoj Kumar KC, CCTV footage showed Singh entering the metropolis with a bag and leaving the premises without it, leading to his arrest.

However, master mind behind the incident, Birendra Yadav alias Bikky is still at large, police informed.
