Police open fire at Kailali petrol station

DHANGADHI: Police fired three rounds of bullets in the air in a melee that ensued after some people queuing up at a petrol station in Attariya Municipality in the district to refill their vehicles pelted stones at stationed vehicles randomly on Wednesday night.

SP Rajendra Bista informed that they had to open fire in the air to take the tense situation under control that flared up after some people queuing up at the station to refill their vehicles, under the influence of alcohol, started pelting stones at the vehicles waiting to be refilled, complaining that they failed to get petrol.

Meanwhile, police arrested three persons—Subash Bhatta, Suresh Buda and Gagan Giri—in connection to the incident.
