PATHARI: Police have seized three trucks laden with hardware materials and clothes from the Rani customs of Biratnagar in Morang on the charge of tax evasion.

According to the Morang District Police Office (DPO), a police team acted on a tip-off and seized the goods worth around Rs 5 million.

The confiscated goods and trucks have been handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office in Itahari, Sunsari.

The DPO added that the trucks laden with goods were checked and passed by a customs agent, Kishor Shahi, and the goods were imported by the Buddha Puja Transport, said Revenue Investigation Regional Office Chief Gaurishankhar Upadhyay.
